Flooring, rig and equipment supply for an expanding CrossFit gym

Initially, we were contacted to supply and fit 240m² of gym flooring for Two Tails CrossFit as part of their move into a larger unit in Essex. During discussions around the flooring, we were also asked to quote for a new custom rig structureto suit the increased floor space and training demand.

Following a site meeting with the client, UK Supreme Fitness were awarded the full project to design, manufacture and install a large custom-built CrossFit rig, along with free-standing storage solutions and a range of new CrossFit equipment and gym equipment to complete the upgraded facility.

This project was all about helping an established gym scale up properly with equipment and infrastructure built for long-term, high-volume use.

Concept

A larger, stronger and more functional training space

The concept behind the project was to deliver and install high-quality rubber gym flooring and a large-scale custom CrossFit rig that would match the needs of an expanding and well-established functional fitness gym.

The rig needed to be capable of supporting:

• 15ft rope climbs
• Ring work
• Pull-ups and bar work
• Group training and class-based sessions

Because of the scale of the structure, stability was a major priority. The client needed a rig that felt completely solid under heavy daily use, with no movement or wobble during rope climbs, gymnastics work or bar movements.

In addition to the rig, we were also tasked with creating custom storage solutions to keep the gym floor organised and practical, with dedicated storage for:

• Dumbbells
• Wall balls
• Kettlebells

The end goal was to create a cleaner, stronger and more efficient training environment that improved both performance and usability for members.

Install

Completed in just two days

The full installation was completed by the UK Supreme Fitness team in just two days, with a huge effort from the team to ensure the project was delivered on time and to the highest standard.

At the centre of the facility is a monster custom CrossFit rig, featuring:

• Central 15ft towers for rope climbs
• 12ft legs supporting the wider rig structure
• Heavy-duty steel construction for high-volume commercial use

To ensure maximum rigidity and stability, every leg of the rig was fully boxed in to create a solid foundation and minimise movement throughout the structure. This was essential to support rope climbs, gymnastics movements and repeated daily class use.

Alongside the rig installation, we also supplied and installed:

• 20mm high-quality rubber gym flooring
• Custom free-standing storage units
• New barbells
• Plyometric boxes
• GHD
• Bumper plates
• Kettlebells
• Dumbbells
• Wall balls

This was a full gym equipment and CrossFit equipment installation, delivering both the infrastructure and the tools needed to support a growing member base.

Finish

A major upgrade for one of the UK’s original CrossFit gyms

The finished facility is a major step forward for Two Tails CrossFit, giving one of the UK’s original CrossFit gyms a larger, stronger and more professional training environment.

With market-leading gym flooring, a giant bespoke CrossFit rig, custom storage and a full equipment upgrade, the new space is built to support the gym’s loyal customer base now and into the future.
