The vision was to give climbers the means to build the power, endurance and resilience needed to perform better on the wall, while also supporting general functional fitness and CrossFit-style workouts.

Concept
The goal was to create a training space that complemented climbing by focusing on functional fitness, explosive strength, and conditioning. Install
To deliver this, UKSF supplied and installed a complete range of equipment tailored to climbing-specific training needs, including:

20mm gym tiles for durability and shock absorption.

UKSF M1 Power Racks to support structured strength and conditioning training.

Lat pull-down machines for upper body development, grip strength and climbing-specific pulling power.

Olympic barbells and a full set of Olympic bumper plates for strength and explosive lifting.

Fractional plates for progressive loading and strength gains.

Additional functional fitness equipment to complete the space.
Finish
The final installation transformed the climbing gym into a well-rounded performance facility. With the addition of specialist strength and conditioning equipment – including M1 Power Racks and lat pull-down machines – members now have everything they need to improve their strength, explosive power, and endurance, making it the perfect complement to their climbing sessions.
