The client approached UKSF with the goal of transforming their gym space into a state-of-the-art training facility. Concept
The vision for the project was to modernise an outdated gym and create a high-performance fitness space. The client wanted to introduce HYROX classes and functional fitness training, while also maintaining a commercial gym setup for general use. The design needed to be both aesthetically impressive and highly functional, allowing for a smooth transition between class-based training and individual workouts. UKSF worked closely with the client to ensure the facility met these diverse training needs while maximising the available space.
Install
The installation process began with the removal of the old flooring, which was no longer fit for purpose. UKSF replaced it with high-quality membrane tiles, providing durability and shock absorption to support heavy lifting and high-intensity workouts. A bespoke functional fitness rig was installed to cater for both group training and individual strength sessions. The gym was then equipped with a full suite of barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, and gym benches, ensuring a comprehensive strength and conditioning setup. Attention to detail was given to layout and equipment selection, creating an optimal flow for both structured classes and independent training.
