CommandoFit Bristol
UKSF recently helped supply an Ex Royal Marine with his dream functional fitness and personal training studio. The facility is based just south of Bristol, South West England.
The ex-marine had previously been renting space in a local CrossFit box and training clients in bootcamp style classes. He approached us for a quote to equip his full facility. We visited his location, which at the time was an empty warehouse within an industrial estate.
We worked with him closely to create a list of equipment that not only fit within his budget but allowed him to offer the classes he required for his clientele. The equipment list comprised of Olympic weightlifting equipment such as Olympic barbells, bumper plates, lock jaw collars and squat racks. He focused largely on functional fitness, so we supplied kettlebells, dumbbells, battle ropes, wall balls and a large 24ft wall mounted rig. The clients background was in CrossFit so the equipment in his facility allowed him to conduct CrossFit style workouts.
Since his opening just 3 months ago he has grown his customer base to just over 100 clients and increased his equipment monthly adding cardio equipment such as airbikes and concept rowers.
CommandoFit Bristol is a great example of how taking a risk to create something you love can really pay off.
