Jake Best's World Records
Throughout this last month, Jake has given it his absolute all and we couldn’t be prouder of him. Last weekend, from Saturday until Sunday Jake attempted the furthest distance run off road in 24 hours.
About the Charities
SBSA
The SBSA are an organization that aids in providing members both past and present from the SBS support. Whether it’s financial aid, emotional or practical support which is needed their doors are always open for assistance.
Rock2Recovery
This charity seeks out distressed veterans and affected family members from the community. They provide coaching to motivate individuals to refocus their energy on a positive outlet. They also provide a helpline for those who are struggling.
The world records
Jake’s world record attempts will all be done off road, booted and carrying 40lbs on his back. His world record endeavors are as follows:
- Fastest 5km NEW WORLD RECORD: 00:22:57
- Fastest 10km NEW WORLD RECORD 00:45:37
- Fastest Half Marathon NEW WORLD RECORD 01:45:37
- Fastest Full Marathon NEW WORLD RECORD 04:01:20
- Furthest run in 24 hours NEW WORLD RECORD 88 MILES
The records so far have all been extremely challenging for Jake to train towards and his dedication to ensuring both his mind and body are prepared is an inspiration. From swimming, to cycling to pushing weights in the gym, Jake has made it his priority that he is ready for the hard work which has to come. We have proudly sponsored Jake’s ambition and look forward to any future endeavours he embarks.
The equipment which UKSF supplied to him were an Olympic Barbell, 100kg Pegasus Bumper Plates, Squat Rack, Adjustable Bench, Pull Up bracket, plyometric box and cast iron kettlebells.
